Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Give from your qualified retirement funds.
If you are 70½ or older, you can give to Proxima directly from a traditional IRA. A Qualified Charitable Distribution goes straight from your IRA custodian to Proxima, and it is not counted as taxable income.
How to give
- Contact your IRA custodian and ask to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
- Ask them to send the gift directly to Proxima Partners, Inc., using the details below. A check made out to you first does not qualify.
- Let us know at info@liveproxima.org so we can thank you and send an acknowledgment for your records.

Good to know
- A QCD can count toward your required minimum distribution for the year.
- QCDs must be made to the charity directly, not to a donor-advised fund.
- Annual limits and rules change from time to time. Your IRA custodian or tax advisor can confirm what applies to you.
